| Intelligent Splicing for Continuous Production

The SMT Automatic Intelligence Splicing Machine is designed for electronics factories that need fast component reel replacement without stopping the placement process. It automatically detects empty tape sections, identifies the correct cutting position, cuts the old and new tapes, and completes accurate splicing. The equipment supports 8 mm, 12 mm, 16 mm, and 24 mm component tapes, depending on the selected model. CCD cameras, barcode scanning, and guided software help operators reduce loading mistakes. One splicing cycle normally takes about 6–12 seconds, excluding manual preparation and empty-tape inspection. Its mobile structure and rechargeable battery also allow easy movement between different production lines.

Intelligent Vision and Stable Transmission

Vision system + Transmission module

The vision system uses CCD cameras with upper and lower light sources to detect empty tape sections and confirm the correct cutting position. It can recognize components above 01005, identify component spacing, and create component marking templates to reduce material errors. The transmission module uses independent motors and precision guide rails to move the carrier tape steadily. Fine-tooth drive wheels improve friction, while pressing covers on both sides prevent tape movement during processing. The guide rail can also adjust automatically according to the selected tape type. Together, these systems help the SMT Automatic Intelligence Splicing Machine maintain accurate tape positioning, stable feeding, and reliable splicing across different component reels.


Precise Cutting and Reliable Splicing

The cutter module uses a built-in high-hardness blade to produce a clean and smooth tape cut. The CCD system first identifies the empty tape position, then the machine cuts automatically at the correct point. An external manual cutter is also included for removing long empty tape sections before automatic operation. During splicing, a vacuum pump holds the adhesive tape firmly, while the heated adsorption head supports stable bonding. An independent temperature controller maintains consistent heating conditions. Stepper motors and a patented gear structure control the joining process with high precision. Multiple motors also help prevent tape jams and waste outlet blockage, allowing the Automatic Intelligence Splicing Machine to achieve a passing rate of up to 98%.


Smart Control and Simple Operation

The control system uses an industrial PC, an IO control card, and multiple independent drivers to manage each working module. This structure supports stable operation and makes maintenance easier. An extended antenna helps maintain a reliable signal throughout the workshop, while rechargeable lithium batteries allow the machine to move freely without a fixed power connection. The guided operator interface is simple enough for new users to learn within about five minutes. Chinese and English interfaces are available, and a barcode scanner is standard for material verification. The system also supports BOM import, automatic data analysis, optional MES connection, and optional RC value measurement for 8 mm tape, improving traceability and error prevention.
