Installation and Training for SMT and DIP Production Lines


From 23 June to 15 August 2025, a team of three I.C.T engineers travelled to Mexico to provide full technical support for a new customer project. The customer, a manufacturer of beauty devices and home care electronics such as facial cleansing instruments, skincare tools, and electronic toothbrushes, had purchased a complete SMT line and DIP line from I.C.T.


By delivering not only equipment but also installation and training services, I.C.T ensured that the new production lines were ready for efficient PCB assembly and long-term use in the customer`s wide range of products.

Project Overview

The project required a full SMT and DIP solution to handle the production of both compact beauty devices and larger home care electronics. Over the course of almost two months, our engineers completed:

  • Installation of SMT and DIP lines

  • Full commissioning and testing of every machine

  • Process verification, including reflow oven profiling and inspection system accuracy

  • Training sessions for operators and engineers

  • Handover of the lines for independent mass production


This support allowed the customer to quickly move from equipment delivery to stable PCB assembly for its diverse product range.


Equipment Supplied

The supplied equipment included both SMT production line and DIP production line machines. Together, they cover every stage of PCB assembly for products such as skin treatment devices, electronic toothbrushes, and household care instruments.

On-site Installation and Commissioning

The installation of the SMT line and DIP line was completed step by step, starting from unpacking and positioning to system integration. During commissioning, our engineers focused on:

  • Accurate machine alignment

  • Smooth PCB transfer across the full SMT line

  • Temperature profiling of the reflow oven, ensuring stable soldering for small PCB boards in beauty instruments

  • SPI and AOI calibration to verify component placement accuracy

  • DIP soldering performance checks for home care electronics assemblies


Through these adjustments, both production lines reached stable output with consistent quality across different product types.

Training and Knowledge Transfer

One of the most important aspects of the project was the installation and training service. The I.C.T team provided hands-on guidance to the customer`s engineering and production teams, covering:

  • Operation of SMT and DIP equipment

  • Preventive maintenance routines

  • Optimisation of SMT line and reflow oven profiles for various beauty and home care products

  • Troubleshooting during production

  • Final quality control in PCB assembly


By the end of the training, the customer`s staff had mastered the use of the SMT and DIP lines, enabling them to produce beauty devices and home care electronics independently and efficiently.

Successful Delivery and Outcome

The project was completed successfully within the planned schedule. Both SMT and DIP production lines are now fully operational, supporting the manufacturing of facial cleansing instruments, skincare devices, electronic toothbrushes, and other home care electronics.


With stable processes, including PCB assembly, reflow oven soldering, and AOI inspection, the customer is now ready to expand production capacity and deliver reliable, high-quality products to meet growing market demand.
