I.C.T Engineers Deliver On-Site Installation and Training for LED Strip SMT Production Line in Italy

I.C.T, a global provider of SMT turnkey solutions, recently dispatched its technical engineers to a customer facility in Italy to provide on-site installation and training support. The customer, a manufacturer in the LED lighting industry, purchased a complete SMT production line for flexible LED strips together with a vacuum reflow oven, further strengthening its in-house electronics manufacturing capability.

During the project, I.C.T engineers completed the mechanical installation, precision alignment, and full commissioning of the line, which covers stencil printing, pick and place, and conveyor systems. This full automatic LED assembly line is configured for high-volume flexible strip production, and after careful debugging it passed first-article inspection and moved into stable continuous operation.

In addition to the production line, the engineers installed and qualified a vacuum reflow soldering system. By removing voids from solder joints during reflow, vacuum technology significantly improves thermal conductivity and long-term reliability — a critical requirement for LED strip products that must dissipate heat continuously over years of service. The engineer fine-tuned the temperature profile for the customer’s board design and verified soldering quality through sample production runs.

Alongside installation, I.C.T delivered structured, hands-on training for the customer’s operators and process engineers. The sessions covered equipment operation, reflow profile setup, daily maintenance, and common troubleshooting procedures, enabling the local team to run and maintain the line independently with confidence.
