In October 2026, I.C.T provided on-site installation and technical support for pick-and-place equipment at an LED tube factory in Vietnam. An I.C.T engineer helped commission the equipment, set up production for long LED boards, and train the customer’s engineering team. The visit also included troubleshooting support for existing machines.
The customer manufactures LED tubes using circuit boards up to 1.1 meters long. Its engineers already had several years of experience operating pick-and-place machines and needed support integrating the new equipment into their production process.
The work focused on board handling and placement programming. For the customer’s long-board application, two pick-and-place machines needed to handle different sections of the same board. I.C.T helped configure the stopping positions and placement programs to match this arrangement.
After arriving at the factory, the I.C.T engineer inspected the equipment’s exterior, removed the transport restraints, and installed the monitor and keyboard support.
Next came machine leveling and alignment with the rest of the line. Once these adjustments were complete, the engineer tested equipment operation. No abnormalities were found during the running tests.
Using the customer’s actual product, the engineer adjusted the board-detection sensors and stopping positions for the 1.1-meter boards.
The customer wanted the first pick-and-place machine to populate one section of the board and the second machine to populate another. The engineer showed the team how to use the program’s section settings to skip the component positions assigned to the other machine.
This gave the customer a practical way to divide placement work between the two machines. The configured product program could also be copied for reuse.
Training continued with a demonstration of machine calibration using calibration nozzles and a calibration fixture. The engineer also shared instructions covering software reinstallation and automatic calibration.
After the customer replaced a board-stop cylinder with a locally made unit, the engineer reset the relevant sensors and stopping positions to suit the new installation.
The team also reviewed several everyday software questions. These included enabling the adjustment window for fiducial recognition alarms and explaining the numbered record files generated during program optimization.
The customer’s engineers were already familiar with machine operation. The service report noted that equipment used for four years remained in good operating condition under their care.
I.C.T built on that experience by reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks and walking the team through the maintenance procedures. The discussion focused on work the engineers could carry out as part of their regular production routine.
Alongside commissioning the new equipment, the I.C.T engineer investigated issues on an older pick-and-place machine.
One problem involved a board-discharge cylinder that would rise but would not return. Adjusting the compressed-air supply resolved the issue.
A separate fault affected automatic conveyor-width adjustment. The displayed width changed to the requested value, but the conveyor did not move. Swapping the drive boards did not eliminate the fault. The engineer identified the motor as the likely cause and recommended replacement as the next step.
This gave the customer a clear follow-up action for the remaining issue.
By the end of the visit, equipment leveling and running tests were complete, and the customer’s LED boards had been run on the machines. The long-board handling positions were set, and the engineering team had received guidance on dividing placement work, calibrating the equipment, and performing routine maintenance.
For this LED tube manufacturer in Vietnam, I.C.T’s technical support connected machine installation with the details of everyday production—from where a long board stops to how its placement program is shared between machines.
