In January 2025, I.C.T dispatched an experienced field engineer to Turkey to carry out on-site installation, commissioning, and technical training services for a major customer in the lighting industry. The visit demonstrates I.C.T's ongoing commitment to supporting its global customers with fast, reliable, and localised after-sales service.
The customer is one of the leading lighting product manufacturers in Turkey, known for its strong in-house production capabilities and advanced automation. Over the years, the company has built two complete SMT production lines, with all major equipment sourced from I.C.T. These include:
To further enhance its production processes, the customer recently purchased a new dispensing machine from I.C.T. The on-site visit was arranged to support the installation of this machine and to carry out a comprehensive health check on the existing SMT equipment.
During the five-day technical service visit, the I.C.T engineer worked closely with the customer’s engineering and production team, delivering the following key services:
Installation and setup of the new dispensing machine
Equipment calibration and process parameter optimisation
Inspection and preventive maintenance of existing I.C.T machines
Component-level repair and replacement, including dispensing valve rebuild and reflow oven SSR replacement
Training sessions on machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
During the inspection, several technical issues were resolved. The dispensing valve had suffered internal damage due to adhesive backflow, causing a pneumatic leak. The engineer disassembled the valve, replaced the seals, adjusted the stroke mechanism, and fine-tuned the dispensing parameters to ensure consistent performance. Additionally, a faulty solid-state relay (SSR) in the reflow oven was replaced, restoring precise temperature control across all zones.
A major focus of the visit was knowledge transfer. The engineer delivered hands-on training to the customer's operators and maintenance personnel.

Cleaning and maintenance of dispensing nozzles and valve assemblies
Identification of common faults and corrective actions
Best practices for daily equipment checks and part replacement
Safety procedures and operational guidelines
As a result, the customer's team gained greater confidence and a deeper understanding of equipment operation and long-term care, helping them improve production stability and reduce downtime.
