Our engineer Tony recently visited a customer site in Algeria to provide hands-on training for a newly installed SMT production line. The line, including SPI, printing machines, AOI, and other key equipment, has been fully commissioned, and the team is now focusing on operator training.
Although the customer’s staff are engineers by profession, they had limited experience with SMT processes. Tony’s training program is designed to bridge this gap, starting with detailed demonstrations of each machine’s operation and moving to supervised hands-on practice. Over the course of the week, the team has shown impressive progress in mastering the equipment.
The training emphasizes essential skills, including SPI setup and inspection procedures, solder paste printing operations, and AOI defect analysis. By working closely with Tony, the customer’s engineers gain confidence in controlling process parameters, understanding error detection, and performing routine maintenance. The collaborative approach allows questions to be addressed immediately, reinforcing learning and ensuring that knowledge transfers effectively.
Photographs from the training session show the engineers actively operating the SPI, with the printing machine and AOI units visible in the background. The atmosphere is focused yet engaged, reflecting both the technical challenge and the hands-on learning experience. Tony reports that the team is rapidly developing familiarity with the machines, and it won’t be long before they are operating the entire SMT line independently.
This onsite training highlights I.C.T’s commitment not only to delivering high-quality SMT production lines but also to ensuring that customers can operate them confidently and efficiently. By combining professional installation, commissioning, and comprehensive operator training, we help our customers achieve full productivity in the shortest time.
The Algerian team’s swift learning demonstrates that with structured guidance and practical experience, even engineers new to SMT can quickly become proficient, maximizing the value of their investment in modern production technology.
