I.C.T has completed an on-site technical service visit in Mexico, supporting a consumer-goods customer through the relocation of two DIP production lines from the first floor to the second floor of their factory. The lines build electric mosquito repellents, and both have been reinstalled, leveled and commissioned — they are now back in regular production.
The customer purchased the two DIP production lines in 2025 to assemble its electric mosquito repellent range. As production requirements changed, they reorganized the shop floor and moved both lines upstairs — a job that called for dismantling, transferring, reinstalling and re-commissioning the equipment rather than simply reconnecting it.
I.C.T service engineers handled the full move on site: teardown and floor transfer, reinstallation, mechanical leveling of each unit, reconnection of utilities and board-handling interfaces, followed by trial runs and parameter adjustment. Leveling was checked station by station, since even small deviations affect conveyor transfer and soldering stability once the line is back in service.
Both lines passed trial production and are now turning out qualified boards for customer products. During the visit, the engineers also walked the customer's operators through daily setup, routine adjustment and basic maintenance, so the team can run and care for the lines on their own.
Relocation support is part of I.C.T's after-sales service for installed equipment. Alongside installation, commissioning and training, the service team helps customers keep lines productive through layout changes, expansions and moves — keeping proven equipment running instead of replacing it.
