A healthy team builds healthy machines. That is why I.C.T has started a new daily routine: every employee now takes part in group exercise sessions right in the office — Baduanjin, a traditional Chinese exercise, every morning, and yoga stretching every afternoon. The first session kicked off today, and it already feels like a big change.
The reason is simple. In our industry, most of the workday is spent sitting: quoting, engineering, answering customers, and monitoring production schedules. Long hours at a desk slowly take a toll — stiff shoulders, sore backs, tired eyes. Instead of letting these problems build up, we decided to fight them with a fixed daily habit that everyone can join, no equipment and no gym membership required.
The schedule is easy to follow. In the morning, the whole office stands up together for Baduanjin, an eight-movement traditional exercise that has been practiced in China for hundreds of years. Its slow, flowing movements loosen the spine, shoulders, and neck, and wake up the body for the day. In the afternoon, when energy usually drops, the team switches to yoga stretching to release the muscles tightened by hours of sitting and to refresh the mind for the rest of the workday.
Only one day in, the difference is already visible: everyone stepped away from their screens, moved together, laughed together, and returned to their desks clearly more energized. Over time, we believe this small daily investment will bring real returns — better focus, better mood, and better service for every customer we serve.
At I.C.T, we care about our people the same way we care about the quality of our SMT lines: with consistency and discipline. A team that stays healthy, stays sharp — and a team that stays sharp builds the machines our customers rely on. We will keep this routine going, one morning and one afternoon at a time.
