Recently, our engineering team completed another successful overseas installation—this time in Indonesia, where we provided on-site support for an I.C.T-5700M Dual-Head Router Depaneling Machine.
Our Indonesian customer is a well-established EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) company. They specialise in PCBA assembly and offer manufacturing solutions for a wide range of electronic products. With a focus on high-mix, medium-volume production, they demand equipment that is both reliable and flexible.
This customer has worked with I.C.T before. In a previous project, they purchased a conformal coating machine from us to protect their PCBA products from moisture, dust, and chemical contaminants. That project was also supported on-site by our engineers and is documented in detail here.
Due to the success of our previous cooperation, the customer chose I.C.T again—this time to upgrade their PCB cutting process.
In PCBA manufacturing, depaneling is a critical step. Poor cutting accuracy can damage components or reduce yield. Traditional methods like manual cutting or low-end routers are not only time-consuming but may also cause stress to the board.
To solve this, the customer selected the I.C.T-5700M, which features:
Dual-head synchronous cutting, increasing productivity by handling two boards at the same time
High-speed spindle motors for precise and clean cutting
Vision alignment system, ensuring each panel is processed with accuracy
User-friendly software, allowing quick programming and easy operation
Enclosed dust collection system, keeping the working environment clean and safe
The machine is ideal for irregular-shaped PCBs, making it suitable for complex board designs often used in consumer electronics, industrial control, and automotive products.
To ensure the customer could start production quickly and efficiently, we sent a professional I.C.T technical support engineer to their factory in Indonesia.
On-site service included:
Machine Unpacking & Positioning
The engineer helped safely unpack the machine, place it in the correct production area, and confirm the workspace met operational safety standards.
Mechanical & Electrical Setup
Wiring, calibration of spindles, and installation of dust extraction units were performed.
Software Configuration
The engineer guided the team through setting up cutting programs, using the visual alignment system, and adjusting parameters for different PCBs.
Hands-On Operator Training
Training sessions were provided for machine operators, production supervisors, and maintenance staff. Each team member practiced running boards under supervision.
Test Production & Acceptance
The customer ran actual PCB panels on the I.C.T-5700M to confirm cutting quality and efficiency. After test runs, the machine passed final acceptance.
The customer was pleased with the machine's stability, cutting speed, and user-friendly interface. Most importantly, the dual-head synchronous operation helped them double the output without increasing labour or floor space.
They also appreciated I.C.T fast response and clear communication throughout the installation process. With the equipment now running smoothly, the factory is ready to handle more PCBA projects with higher precision and lower cost.
